I wrote for you
a little rhyme,
on what it's like
to do hard time.
I've been in jail
for quite a spell,
and lo! The stories
that I could tell!
Why I was put here
is not the point-
Let's just say
it was more than one joint.
And I didn't know
that they'd hold such a grudge,
if I simply just offered
to go down on the judge.
So here I am
and here I will stay,
until my fated
parole day.
But it will not be
a wasted trip,
if I can pass along
this single tip:
Some other inmates
can be so mean,
in the place meant
to make them get clean.
They think it's a test
of their manly power,
if they can get on you
while you're in the shower.
And they will do with you
just what they please,
if you tempt them or taunt them,
act flirty or tease.
So I know now that you will
heed my warnings I hope,
while you're in prison
please don't drop the soap!
