I was working in the lab one day Trying to solve a piece of DNA I couldn’t believe what the numbers meant I had discovered a new element! Keeping my thoughts on solid ground I assumed it must be an old compound So I decided to go and test my doubt And got all of my beakers out I knew I must take immediate action To reproduce this chemical reaction For they all say it must be a fable To add a new element to the periodic table Soon there was titration all over the place Some with an acid, some with a base I followed my lab books’ meticulous path Then spent time re-doing the math So many thoughts occurred to me Like a Nobel Prize in chemistry For no one could disprove something that Camper discovers I call it Camponium - the element for lovers
